About

Carrio Xanders is a recording artist, songwriter, poet and record producer from Hanover, Germany. It is notable to know that he produces under the moniker, “Aero”, an alter ego he created in 2018. His style is characterised by his down to earth, heartfelt lyrics usually laid on emo-driven instrumentals.

Prior to his first EP in 2016 (Therapy Session Vol. 1), Carrio had been rap battling since the mid 2000s and also released a couple of songs that garnered attention within the state. He teamed up with Hanover based producer, Sumzi Beats in 2015 to work on a mixtape called Social Experiment. Unfortunately, the mixtape did not see the light of the day but various tracks were released from the mixtape, some of which can be found on the internet. He transitioned into a more conscious lyricist towards the beginning of the early 2010s and highlighted more his poetic abilities in rap songs as well as in spoken word recitals.

In March 2016 during the influx of immigrants into Europe, he recorded a spoken word piece as part of a project that was aimed at addressing the situation. The video quickly went viral in the city and sparked a few controversies. August of the same year, he released his first body of work, a 5 track EP titled, “Therapy Session Vol. 1” on DJMC, an indie label he co-founded with long time friend DJ Josh Bills. The EP was premiered on Radio Leinehertz, Hanover’s number one community radio and was released on digital streaming platforms such as Spotify, iTunes.
